Brown-banded (or TV) Cockroach

Unlike other cockroaches, this species prefers a warm, dry environment. The nickname stems from the insect's inclination to set up shop inside TV cabinets, alarm clock casings, radios and other electronic devices. Brown-banded cockroaches are smallish at just one-half inch on average, possess long antennae, and have a distinctive light tan band across the base of their wings.
