Staff Benefits

Spectrum Brands offers health and financial benefits, as well as paid time off.  The company also provides other benefits, such as tuition reimbursement.

Health Plans

 

Medical - Spectrum offers an Open Access program that allows you the freedom to choose between HMO, PPO and out of network levels of benefits.  You do not need to select a primary care physician and can move between the different levels of coverage as you see fit.

 

Dental - We offer a comprehensive dental plan, with additional discounts available by using the Premier dental network.  Our dental program helps the employee pay for necessary dental care, including oral examinations, cleaning, x-rays, many basic and major services and orthodontia.

 

Vision -  Spectrum's plan helps pay for eye exams, eyeglasses and contact lenses.

 

Life Insurance - Spectrum Brands provides basic life insurance to each employee free of charge.  Additional term life for you and your family may be purchased at low group rates.

 

Additional Insurance Plans:  Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance is available.

 

Disability:  Short-Term Disability and Long Term Disability are both provided by the Company.  You can purchase additional Long Term Disability coverage through Spectrum if you choose.

 

Flexible Spending Accounts:  Our plan lets you pay a portion of your premiums for company-sponsored benefits without paying tax on the premium amount.  We also offer you the option to set aside money on a pre-tax basis for unreimbursed (e.g. deductibles, coinsurance and copayments) medical expenses or dependent care costs.  Since you do not pay taxes on these contributions, your taxable income is reduced.

401(k) - Spectrum offers the opportunity to save for retirement by allowing pre-tax deductions into our 401(k) plan, receive a company matching contribution and grow your

savings by selecting from a wide variety of investment choices.

 

529 Plans - You can also save for educational expenses by investing in MOST - The Missouri Savings for Tuition program provided through convenient payroll decutions.

 

Paid Time Off

 

Spectrum offers a competitive Vacation Plan as well as traditional and floating holidays.
